[thelist] tools requiring/using remote server connection (wasRE: ajax broken with url rewriting)

I haven't noticed Firebug making any calls back to the home server or 
doing anything funky with the address bar. We are talking about Firebug 
the Ajax/JS/Dom debugging tool, correct?
