[thelist] c#.net - bypassing required field validator

Anyone know how to byass the required field validator - or at least what 
vocabulary I can search on to find help?

I am writing a login routine. New users must click "register" to get a page 
where they can register. What is happening, my page is requireing user to 
fill in an id and password before proceeding to registration.
