How different is it from what I'm using now? I see no difference. What
do you mean by being obtrusive?

Good that you didn't point any problems in the javascript itself. I
don't know, IE seems to have problems with it though.

The author's opinion is that grayscale is better (fits better with
site layout), while I think color is better. So this basically will
serve to get readers' comments to define which one to keep.

I know, that is why I said I'll check referer (actually IP since
referer can be forged). I just believe it will be easier to start off
using a php script rather than the link to the image. I might some
mental problem though (likely the case) ....
