Maybe I'll get stomped on for saying this, but I've used PayPal (as a
buyer) for years, and have never had one bad experience. The one time I
filed a complaint against an unscrupulous (eBay) seller, PayPal reacted
quickly and in my favour.

I've heard some merchants bitch about PayPal; I have no experience with
that side of dealing with them.

But from a buyer's point of view -- well, personally I don't buy from
merchants who don't offer either (a) PayPal, or (b) secure credit card
processing. I simply would not sign up with any non-PayPal payment
handler, period.

But that's just me.
