Apparently people simply aren't aware of the difference. "PC" refers to
the hardware, regardless of operating system installation, and in my
experience, always did. To use "PC" to refer to something that is not
actually part of the hardware is confusing and backwards.

And, whether or not something is "helpful" is a matter of opinion. If
it's not helpful *to you*, that's one thing, but that doesn't mean it's
helpful to someone else who may be more careful, realize the potential
for confusion, and not make the same mistake.

Your use of "constant" is misleading; my last post that touched this
topic was over a month ago.
