I converted the email link form my previous posting to a 'simple' php 
form,  just a couple lines.  When the customer clicks submit it takes 
about 9-10 seconds before getting the thank you page.  This is a  
l-o-n-g time.  The same form on other sites, other shared hosting 
providers, takes perhaps a second.

According to the provider, it is because it is in a shared hosting 
situation, however, I did select the 'business' package.  The other 
hosting providers I've used - even the really awful ones, also shared 
hosting, but still takes a second.
