[thelist] IE, CSS and a feeling of futility...

Thanks to Barry and Ben

The container was in another container (which also has a header)... I moved
the float to the main container (thanks to Ben for the clarification) and
everything seems peachy

So Barry was right and I can't read my own markup lol

Even after a few years at this there's still stuff to learn... and break :)
