Thanks Paul,

Your suggestion won't quite achieve what I was trying to do.  I wanted to
highlight the "Team: Team Name" bit only, not the rest of the line.  I
wanted to make the team name stand out.  As you say it may not be possible.

Hi Santil,

As far as I know you can't stick html *inside* an option element. Try
applying the class to the option element instead:

<option value="29,AAA,Test" class="alertyellow">Team: AAA, Grade
:Test</option>
