Hi Yasser,

I did take a look at that article before I posted and unfortunately it doesn't directly answer my question.
It turns out the issue was a db upgrade:

<tip type="cakephp and mysql3 v cakephp and mysql5">
If you're using a describe statement in a cakephp query it will retun a differently formatted array depending upon which version of mysql you're using.
