[thelist] can you find out who links to your site?

are you trying to find sites that act as a referrer, with users coming to
your site from the sother site, or are you trying to find out which sites
have your site on their's as a link...

your log files won't have information on sites that might have added your
site as a link (unless a user from that site went to your site via the
link).

otherwise, if you simply want to see which sites have sent users to your
site via a link within that site, then any good analytics app could provide
that to you...

peace

two google options come to mind, neither of which are likely exactly
what you had in mind:

1. search google for link:www.example.com (note this will also include
internal links, meaning links from www.example.com to www.example.com)

2. sign up for google webmaster tools
http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ and go to "pages with external
links" under "links" -- this one won't include internal links, but
separates it out by which url on your site is being linked to.
