I have a guy who wants to run searches for domain names and/or
business names (corporations and whatnot). We can run these searches
online, using APIs to automate it, but he wants to do more heavy
analysis and searching than is feasible on an API.

So he wants to download either a directory of businesses, like Yellow
Pages or a list of all registered domain names.

He thinks he once purchased Yellow Pages on a CD, but now he (nor I)
can find such a thing, nor can I find any way to download a list of
domain names.

Anyone aware of any such tools?

PS: This may be an odd post but it's far better than "How can I
download the internet onto my PC?" :)
