For the record re:background misalignment, I'm using FF3/Win — but I'm still
perplexed as to how FF3/Unix would see it any differently (
http://barneycarroll.com/billsbackgrounds.jpg). And I'm seeing exactly the
same thing on Safari + Chrome. I guess the whole thing relies on an optical
illusion so the mismatch may be hard to see, but go into firebug and add
that extra pixel to the margin just to see what changes — it might take that
to see the difference.

What, you mean turning JS off? I know, very hard to find for 99% of internet
