Hi Sarah,

I don't know if this helps but I remember having the same problem  
with the arrows (1.0)
I then changed one number next to the arrow and then saved by  
clicking the little disk icon.
Then another ... one, save, etc.
Since I'm not sure if you tried exactly that, I give it here.

If that doesn't work, could it have something to do with file  
permissions?

I can't say I'm a fan of J. :-(
