Been discussing this with a client over the weekend.

One option we discussed was maybe using Amazon E3 to store backups. 
Amazon doesn't charge to put files there, but charges when you bring 
them back. So it might be cost effective to dump several rotating copies 
of the site there, and only incur a cost when you need to recover a file.

Make sure you calculate the possible total cost to recover the whole 
site at once. :-)
