www.getlisted.org seems to be primarily useful for checking consistency 
in Local directory listing services such as Google Places, Yahoo Local, 
Citysearch. Amongst other factors consistency in NAP (name, address, 
phone) is supposed one criteria in how high your service ranks in local 
searches. It is sometimes referred to as 'citations'.  I've read that 
inbound links and reviews such as Google Plus reviews also have impact.
