Message-ID: Hi Folks We've muttered before about a design contest to improve the current weo design. Now we've settled into the new system (6 months in at the end of this month), I think it's probably a good time to do that. So, I've bashed together a few thoughts about how this could run: http://wiki.evolt.org/wiki/2006_WEO_Design_Contest I'd like us (desdev) to work on this, and then take it to theforum for a simple yes/no decision. Yes? Sounds good to me. I'm not sure what you mean by "The winner will be decided by desdev, in consultation with theforum and sysadmin" - personally I'd prefer to give theforum three or four options and have them vote on the one they like the most, the one with the most votes wins (simple first past the post, no messing about with single transferable vote). Or is that what you meant anyway? Or is that what you meant anyway? thelist should probably get a crack at helping us choose too. The design should also cater for the other sites, i.e. beo. -- _ __/| William Anderson | Tim: Your cheese game is strong. \`O_o' neuro at well dot com | Zane: My cheese game. Or is that what you meant anyway? Yeah, something like that. We shortlist, talk to sysadmin to make sure that there are no technical probs (modules etc), then put an ordered shortlist to theforum. Yes, getting the shortlist community-visible is prolly good (didn't Boxes & Arrows do that?), and in the end, theforum has to OK it. But given the last experience, I'd rather keep discussion and picking the recommended winner against the criteria be done here, not least because we've got to implement the thing. Small Group: Good.
