greetings, quiet finance-list lurkers,
well, today is the 2 month anniversary of the evoltgear store i setup
at Cafepress.com and finally, the initial commission check is due.
scheduled to be sent June 15th, the first check for $62.63 is based on
10 orders for 16 items in April, for gross sales of $276.97. (for
those of you not listening, no we're not getting a check for $276.97 --
we get the $62.63 comission).
the long delay is due to Cafepress's payment policies, which require
that commissions are held for 30 days after the order ships, to allow
for returns under their 30-day 100% money-back guarantee, and after
which (for no good reason they've suggested, other than "rolling") they
hold the funds an additional 30 days and then (they've promised, see
below), they mail out checks on the 15th of each month thereafter.
i just wanted to confirm that this check should still go to Marlene's
(recently updated) address, on the http://evolt.org/help_support_evolt
page:
payable to: evolt.org
sent to: Attn: Marlene Bruce, Treasurer
7601 Adelphi Road
Hyattsville, MD 20783
or is there a new address, corresponding to the new acting treasurer?
i have the cafepress account configured to mail the monthly checks
directly to evolt.org at the above address, but if mailed paper is
inconvenient, i could just have them make the checks out to me and i
could make electronic PayPal transfers to evolt... whatever works for
you guys, so long as it gets to wherever it needs to go to pay a coupla
evolt's bills... i changed the address once already because of
Marlene's relocation and was a bit nervous that it might go to the
wrong place.
i'd also like to ask: who do i have to convince to put a link something
like:
Support Evolt.org - buy cool gear!
http://www.cafeshops.com/evoltgear
on the donations page? can i bribe that person with a $5.01-off
discount on anything/everything they want in the evolt store? :-)
thanks,
-dave
PS: May's sales were less stellar than the "grand opening" in April:
Orders Items Sales Returns Commission
April 10 16 276.97 0 $62.63
May 3 7 91.00 - 27.57
June 1 2 33.00 - 10.02
But: Total commissions in the first 60 days: $100.22! Not *too*
shabby, eh?
