From martin@easyweb.co.uk Tue Feb 4 16:08:38 2003 From: martin@easyweb.co.uk (Martin Burns) Date: Tue, 4 Feb 2003 16:08:38 +0000 Subject: [Marketing] evolters.org marketing Message-ID: Just a couple of ideas to get us started (assuming this is all going to go through). To encourage current meo members to join evolters in a way which benefits evolt.org the most, how about: 1) Existing meo members get a discounted rate (provided that they join by meo shutdown day, and pay a year in advance as smaller fees get chewed up by Paypal charges) 2) Existing meo members get web forwarding on the same basis as email forwarding (ie for as long as David wants to provide it). Everyone else gets cut off after 3 months. 3) What do we think about doing the same for mail forwarding? ie you only get long-term mail forwarding if you join evolters..? I'm assuming you mean evolters memebers not meo members, here. > 3) What do we think about doing the same for mail forwarding? ie you > only get long-term mail forwarding if you join evolters..? I don't like it. It seems to me like a negative coercement for people to sign-up to evolters, as opposed to the positive first part. Since David has offered to do it for free I'd prefer that forward is provided for everyone as long as he is willing to provide it. If we can't find other ways than that to make people join evolters, we're fucked anyway. -- Lach __________________________________________ Web: http://illuminosity.net/ E-mail: lach @ illuminosity.net MSN: luminosity @ members.evolt.org __________________________________________ From marlene@members.evolt.org Wed Feb 5 03:07:22 2003 From: marlene@members.evolt.org (Marlene Bruce) Date: Tue, 4 Feb 2003 19:07:22 -0800 Subject: [Marketing] evolters.org marketing In-Reply-To: <3E4064D6.5000502@members.evolt.org> References: <3E4064D6.5000502@members.evolt.org> Message-ID: (Being brief 'cause I gotta pack my car...) I don't expect this to be much of a change from the recent past as I have been far too busy to contribute anyway! :( I will be unsubscribing or nomailing from the various lists I'm still on. As for the recent direction, I'm obviously +1 on the idea of evolters.org (it was my idea!), don't mind losing my MEO account, happy to leave the rest of the decisions up to the rest of you. Good luck and I'll try to stay in touch with how things go from here. isaac ---------------------------------------------------------------- triplezero | upstairs at 200 the parade, norwood 5067, australia (08) 8332 0545 | www.triplezero.com.au | isaac@triplezero.com.au From martin@easyweb.co.uk Fri Feb 7 23:00:13 2003 From: martin@easyweb.co.uk (martin burns) Date: Fri, 07 Feb 2003 23:00:13 +0000 Subject: [Marketing] Isaac's absence Message-ID: <5.1.1.6.0.20030207225802.00bc26f0@mull> Just a couple of things this sparks: 1) Do we need to elect a replacement (temporary?) steering rep for Marketing? 2) We *do* need someone else to be the person admining the Marketing list - if only to get notifications of held messages etc. Isaac's the only one rn: http://lists.evolt.org/mailman/listinfo/marketing Cheers Martin ________________ Martin Burns tel: +44 (0)774 063 9985 http://www.easyweb.co.uk/ From luminosity@members.evolt.org Sat Feb 8 02:03:16 2003 From: luminosity@members.evolt.org (Lachlan Cannon) Date: Sat, 08 Feb 2003 13:03:16 +1100 Subject: [Marketing] Isaac's absence In-Reply-To: <5.1.1.6.0.20030207225802.00bc26f0@mull> References: <5.1.1.6.0.20030207225802.00bc26f0@mull> Message-ID: <3E446564.2080602@members.evolt.org> martin burns wrote: > Just a couple of things this sparks: > 1) Do we need to elect a replacement (temporary?) steering rep for > Marketing?
