Martin,

Can you relax the username hounds on the wiki just enough for my usual
username to work?  I get the following error message when I try to register
with a username of ".jeff" (no quotes).

  "The login name you selected is already in use or is
   not valid. Please choose another."

As the error message isn't terribly useful, I suppose the error is because I
already have an account.  However, when I try to have it send me my
password, it tells me no such username exists.
