easy with the venom, girl. we have a history with the character that filed
the complaint. i'm not the only one to point out the flaws in their
requests. so, please don't shoot the messenger.

well, that's good to hear. however, that doesn't mean that complaint
actually holds any substance. if it's anything like the ones we've received
in the past, it's probably still highly dubious. but kudos to the secretary
at the bbb that's doing her job enthusiastically.

the only problem with all of this is that it's not the individual that owns
the copyright to those posts that's making the demands. in fact, it's not
even a representative of that individual. rather, it seems it's someone
with a possible hostile relationship to that individual who is making the
demands.

several of us here on content have posted at great length about all the
things we see that make us think that this request is bogus.

also, i just found some posts to thelist that would indicate the individual
making the demands has taken to spam bombing us.

http://lists.evolt.org/archive/Week-of-Mon-20040119/154232.html

so, it would seem this isn't simply a request from an individual to remove
*their* copyright material, but instead, an effort from someone else to
censor completely harmless content in our archive.
