Volkan Özçelik noted that he has been busy:

>>I always have been around. However I am over-busy for over a year;

Cool! (It's good to be busy - especially in this economy.) ;-)

>>Do you worry that HTML e-mail will be delivered to spam/junk?

No. I can always delete spam. It doesn't bother me. However, I'm on these lists from my work address. (I imagine a bunch of other folks are also reading from work too.) And at work I'm using a Windows box running Microsoft Outlook. (As, I imagine, a bunch of other folks are.)

The risk here, as I understand it (and I'm not an email guru), is that embedded javascript and graphics (through webbugs and even more scripting) provide a vector for infecting my office machine with nasty code and viruses.

I believe that as a community we have maintained that it is our civic duty (as good netizens) to ensure that *evolt* is _never_ responsible for forwarding that kind of risky nonsense on to our readers. That is why all of the emails you receive from evolt should be in plain text.

Now, *you* should not have to send 'plain text' to the list. You should be able to send HTML email to evolt. You didn't do anything wrong and you don't need to change anything on your end. But when evolt propogates your email out to everyone on the list that email is supposed to be scrubbed and sent out as plain text.

I think it is just a setting that got missed when this i18n list got set up. It's working on all of the other lists. Your emails to thelist do not come over to me as HTML. No. It's just some little screwy thing with this new list that needs to be looked at and fixed. No biggie.

You didn't do anything wrong ... but one of the admins needs to tweak the list settings.
