I agree with that in general (I'm British).
However, HTML/CSS has never had an understanding of the British spellings of
"colour" and similar things unless I'm mistaken.
Example:

body { font-color: #abc; } /* Works */
body { font-colour: #abc; } /* Doesn't work */
