[Javascript] looking for a drag/drop system of reordering

Hello,

was wondering if anyone had seen something like this.

a cross browser drag/drop system of organizing items:
for example..  what I am thinking of having is a numbered list
of objects, that you could drag around and reinsert into the list.
at that point the list is renumbered, moving all other items down one.

It would be helpful if there was something out there that I can look 
at before I begin to code this :)
