[Javascript] dhtml pop ups and pop up blockers

   DHTML popups are simply hide/show implementations in the current page.  A popup of the "blockable" kind opens a brand-new window.

   Of course there is the popUp object in IE 5+, which is technically a different window instance but is also part of the parent document... but then again you don't really have to worry about Mozilla-type browsers dealing with those anyway :)
