[Javascript] RE: Font size control bar

Bad version ended up on website.  I've replaced it now, but this version doesn't work as well as the first did.  Craziness now: first click on "smaller" goes larger, but subsequent clicks work.  
 
Again, the problem I'm trying to resolve is getting the font selector to act on the "main_content" frame.

Thank you for that.  I went ahead and uploaded the essential files (&
directory structure) to Geocities.  Unfortunately, it won't run from that
location, but if you downloaded the structure, you can see exactly how it
was intended to function.

The font resizing works very well at doing what it is designed to.  The only
problem is that the page with the resize buttons acts on itself.  I was
needing to have them act on the main window, which will of course change as
users navigate the application interface.

I appreciate all of your comments and help with this.

I hope to clarify what I'm trying to do.  (I definitely agree with Laurent's
assessment of popup windows as evil - and Flavio, thanks for the reminder
about popup blockers.)

This funtionality is intended for a software interface to be deployed on a
LAN.  I'm just using HTML as the vehicle for it, so I don't want the users
to have the browser distractions.  Maybe this screenshot will help to
clarify the situation:
