[Javascript] OT: encoding e-mail address.

Just wanted some opinions on the e-mail address method I use on my
business website:

<span>Shawn</span>&#64;<span>freelance</span><span>pen</span>.com

See any problems with that? As far as I know, it's never been
harvested. I don't get spam to that address. Obviously that doesn't
mean it works, just that they haven't found it yet. Just wondering
what you guys, as famous international web developers, think of my
method.
