Geoff, are the security settings for both computers the same (
Tools->Internet Settings->Security).<br>

this occurs each time a file is run for the first time but isn't
repeated when IE is refreshed. </font></div>

doesn't appear at all, so, I don't get the inconvenience. </font></div>

has an 'exit' command line, which stops the program on the DeskTop, it
functions as it should without trouble. However,<br>
the 'exit' command is totally screwed up, giving a run time error,
telling me that 'exit' is undefined, on the laptop. </font></div>

changing any setting in Internet Explorer to get the Laptop to
acknowledge the 'exit' command in the same way that the Desktop<br>
does? Or, is it due to the architectural construction between a desktop
and a laptop? </font></div>

Internet Explorer that can illiminate the popup window in Internet
Explorer on the Desktop? </font></div>
