Time to give back!

Think about this:

How many times has evolt.org saved you on an urgent project? How much
stuff have you learned from our members that you would never have
learned otherwise? thelist, tips, articles, the browser archive, how
much are they worth to you?

Are you willing to help support our community, by, for example, imposing
a small charge on your clients?

Time has come for evolt.org to come back to its members to ask for cash,
in order to maintain the community running and remain true to its
indepdendent spirit.

Our ‘little project’ has grown into a monster. Our
web sites are huge, sitting on top of an ad-hoc array of 7 boxes, and
our services transmit more than 100GB every month and growing.
Unfortunately, someone has to pay for this, and the costs involved are
not small! In the past we were maintained by the generosity of one
member, but now we need your help.

Please, check your finances and figure out how much you will be able to
donate in order to keep evolt.org alive. We started out from the desire
of web developers to build a community by web developers, for web
developers. Now we need your help to keep evolt.org free from the
commercial circuits.
