Things to note:

1) Specialized version of mailman (may not be that specialized, Dan
pushed a lot of changes into mailman development a long time ago).
Although I've made changes as well, notably to archiving and
   suspicious header reporting.

2) Archives and the ability to load thelist e-mail into Oracle for tip
processing and presentation. This would likely mean being able to
connect to Oracle from wherever the final host is.

3) Performance enhancements. Do we dump the idea of relays altogether?

Point 2 is especially difficult to overcome unless we re-architect the
tip harvesting. We need the ability to tweak the software and build
up around it.

No, but it could be at some point.

Yes, if someone tells me the categorys and the divisions that were set
up or that they want to be set up. Or if I am able to dredge the
various mailing lists hoping that there is enough data in there to fix
it.

Fine, if it can meet the requirements.

Some of them at least.
