unfortunately, it's not that easy. all the cf installs share the same
serial number. that leads me to believe it's not a serial number that we
can legitimately use at all. we definitely can't be using them like we are
currently.

i'm suggesting an improvement that would remove the need for us to have any
licensing dependencies whatsoever. if the codebase can run on
win2k/mssql/cf[5|mx] then we can go to most any shared hosting environment
and get hosting for it.

i'm not entertaining talks of resistance. that doesn't belong in a
discussion about reducing our costs. i *will* entertain talks of solutions
so long as they do not involve putting teo/weo into a situation that will
reduce hosting options for it down the road.
