Wow, you go away for a day or so, and...

For info, eouk runs a Qmail/vpopmail combo which can handle
as many domains as a person wants to throw at it.  Creating
lists is a question of running MM's newlist command and
backing the output into bash.  Thanks to Eric I have a more
complete knowlege of the intricacies of pipermail than is
healthy for anyone.

Re: migration -

Can we install CF and Oracle on a replacement server?
'Cos if we can I'd want to defer the entire different-CMS
part of the discussion until such time as it becomes
relevant...
