Below is the email I received from Dan on this issue, dated 6/25/02.
I've X'd out the serial number because of the archive, but both Elfur
and I have this information if needed. I never did receive any more
confirmation on the Oracle license than is indicated below (in other
words, we're not officially legal right now).

Here's the first and easiest to track license. It's for chilisoft ASP
and didn't come with a piece of paper. The need for any future
contact with Sun from evolt will come from either of you I'd assume.

I'm having a hard time getting a piece of paper from oracle, and that
will take a while due to its age and the size of the company. I'm
also trying to track down the anonymous doner who donated the CF
license, but as you can imagine, it's going to take some time.

Hi Daniel,

Our apologies for not replying to you in a timely manner. The following
will get your organization up and running with Sun Chili!Soft ASP:

1. Download the software from
http://www.chilisoft.com/downloads/register2.asp?target=CASPLNX
(Disregard the trial license number that you receive)
2. Because you are using a newer version of Apache, please read this
page before installing the product:
  http://www.chilisoft.com/howto/apache_mod.asp
3. Use the following serial number during installation:
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (Note: this is a full commercial license
for your organization's use only and cannot be resold)

Separately, I would like to ask you one small favor - please install the
Tomcat server and Apache module for JSP support. This will give the
developers that visit your site a chance to test *all* major Web
technologies.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions.

Regards,

John
