I've added the control file /var/qmail/control/timeoutsmtpd and set it to 600 seconds so that hung qmail-smtpd processes will end quicker. This is not guaranteed to catch all of the hung qmail-smtpd processes (I've seen cases where qmail-smtpd has been hanging around for days) but it seems to be helping a bit. Dean
