Hi Neuro,

Ok so I guess I meant: I am offering to help by moving the last thing
off tron, the DNS, to GoDaddy, and offering to do it so its free, and
any/all of us can them manage it.

But If you'd prefer to setup and run bind on a DO instance, I can't
help much with that (since I don't have access (and prefer djb or
web-based dns :-))) So since Dean doesn't care, if you wanna set it
up, I'm happy to let you run it however and wherever you want! I'm
sure we'll work out access so the rest of us can help manage it.

You lost me there. Gandi? Was evolt.org ever registered at Gandi? I
certainly don't have THAT login, or any idea how to switch any
nameserver records that may have been setup there there. Not even
sure I'm 100% clear how to change them at all (or, for that matter,
exactly what "glue records" even *are*...) How can you see which
registrar has a nameserver glue record...?

So, I see can change the ip addresses for ns1 and ns2, at GoDaddy but
ns0 is not shown. If ns0 was added via Gandi, can I just add an ns0
glue record at Godaddy?

But then I also see ns0 already points to the IP you mention above
(Did John do that perhaps?). But ns0 does not appear in the evolt.org
WHOIS record so that's not really affecting public dns right noe,
right?

Do you want me to change ns1 to the second ip above?
Are you ready for me to make that change now?
Do you (don't you) also need me to change the list of nameservers in
the WHOIS record, which are currently:

  PUBLIC0.NS.ZENSOFT.NET
  PUBLIC1.NS.ZENSOFT.NET
  NS1.EVOLT.ORG
  NS2.EVOLT.ORG

and, to what, exactly?

Taking a step back, maybe better questions are:

Do you not have access to the evolt GoDaddy account to make these
types of changes yourself?
And if not, would you like one?
Looks like I can "invite" others to delegate access to the account.

Invite sent :-) but if you'd rather I make the changes I'm happy to --
just let me know

Lastly,

You shouldn't have to pay for the DO servers yourself! Does Digital
Ocean accept Paypal?

Thanks!
