I for one would be very hesitant about donating cash to an org as 
loose as Evolt:

- we don't have a budget (that I know of)
- we're not 501c3  (are we?)
- we don't follow our own bylaws
- do we even have a bank account?

I "trust" our treasurer, Marlene, but I don't find the "system" 
organized or consistent enough to be trustworthy.

I do think that donating to a project with specific goals (Chilisoft, 
as mentioned) would be more attractive than the soliciting of random 
donations.
