There is a general link to categories or to the home page which brings
in a very, very small commission on items bought during that session.
But to be worthwhile, it needs to be specific items we link to.

This isn't quite the same as simple giving (although an effort to
explicitly add the evolt id to purchases *would* be). It's evolt going
to the trouble of leading people to buy things at Amazon, which Amazon
(rightly) think is worth some money in return.

Think about it - if you're just starting to venture into the MaxOSX
Terminal and want to learn what to do before you break things, and I've
made the effort to look out the new O'Reilly "Learning Unix for Mac OS
X", and (even better) have offered some opinion about why it may or may
not be suitable for you, then don't I deserve some reward from Amazon
for having done part of their work for them?

Customer acquisition is *expensive* - the amount Amazon pay out in
associates fees is less so.

(that book is http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0596003420/evoltorg
btw)

Cheers
Martin
