We already have throttling and max clients on beo ftp, plus the general
CF/Apache/Linux setup was explicitly set up to stand up to a slashdotting
and has done so before several times.

It's a short-term PITA to gain long-term benefit, and isn't being done for
a laugh.

Is there anything we can do to mitigate the "Slashdot effect" on the
browser archive? How many nerds do you think are gonna go try out Mosaic
0.4... (I would.)
