I've always found that 20 people sending me an e-mail about a problem
that I already knew about and was working on more frustrating than
helpful, especially, if I'd already sent out a status report.

The lists.evolt.org are being worked on by most of the eouk group and
myself when I get the time. List admin is being handled by aard, you,
me, and whoever runs thechat now. You're working on weo. neuro
(William) is the main beo person. I'm the main deo person now that
Simon's run out of time for it. Fucknose what's up with meo. genghis
(John) is the main DNS guy.

All of the eouk people and me have access to the leo, deo, and beo.
You have access to weo.

I don't know where we go from here. Obviously it's in our best
interest to have redundent people in place to handle each service.

I sent a list of outstanding issues to sysadmin awhile back. I didn't
get any response from anyone who was interested in helping except for
Judah (IIRC) who was going to work on the XML/RDF feeds. No timelines
since there's no one assigned to the tasks at this point. I have seen
that you've addressed the 'unapproved articles' and 'unanswered
contacts' reminders.

I've done remote administration through RTS, VNC, Proxy, and PC
Anywhere but I'm very hesitant to say that I'm a Win2K administrator.

Welcome to the fraternity of evolt.org sysadmins and hosts, and
sysadmins in general. Every sysadmin knows that when things are going
well, you never hear a peep, but as soon as something goes wrong, you
never hear the end of it. It's the drawback of doing your job well,
no one knows that you exist. :)

I'm sure it's part of the reason for the previous "burnouts" of the
sysadmin team, mine included.
