I'll go ahead and chime in on the side of getting two smaller servers 
instead of one big one, since I brought it up on sysadmin. Multiple smtp 
servers for l.e.o. we know is a good idea. 2 servers does present an 
admin overhead which we need to consider. But I think that the 
flexibility it gives us is important. For DNS, SMTP and eventually web 
load balancing and failover, I really like the option of two machines.

It seems like the low end option will still be better than what we 
currently have and the additional flexibility of two low end machines 
would outweigh the increased horsepower of a single bigger box.

And thus you have my opinion :)
