We need to have a clear view on whether
a) We produce a site that is fundamentally the same as the existing
one: articles submitted to a workflow process and reviewed to receive
the official evolt.org stamp of approval (or not) and published with
almost an authorial voice of the organisation or
b) We produce a site that is *different* - that takes a different
publishing model for the community.
Part of the reason for suggesting this is that with the current model,
we aren't very good at operating it. The content team generally takes
too long reviewing new articles, and always runs the risk of struggling
because it just doesn't have the technical understanding to be able to
actually know whether the content is any good. We also often reject
potentially good article ideas simply because they don't have enough
meat to the way they've been written up.
However, option (b) will take more thinking about before we can get
down to production...
Cheers
Martin
