So it sounds like there are at least a couple of issues w/ users: 
spammers who sign up just to spam, and old accounts that were created 
and immediately abandoned... which seem (to me) like in tandem, they are 
beginning to overwhelm the accounts of people who were ever both legit 
and active... making it more difficult to perform tasks related to legit 
active users.

There is a notebook discussion about it on the backend section of the 
teamwork site, which is prob a good place to discuss it, because if it 
can't be addressed immediately, at least the thinking and discussion is 
collected in one area.
