I have run Functions from ColdFusion many times, and it works no
problem (just declare the OUT variable, and the value goes there)

I CAN run the function throught Toad without a hitch.  It seems to be
a JDBC Driver issue :oP which is not something I can control.

But I will give your ideas a definate go!
