Many thanks for your thoughts, but herein lies the problem. I can [relatively] easily write semantic markup, and I can quickly and easily produce cross browser designs using tables for presentation. Replacing the tables for the sake of the task seems pointless if the markup is still not semantic. It comes as a great disappointment to me that many proponents of CSS design have no idea about semantic markup[0] - which is the only reason to utilise it in the majority of corporate environments. I also need boxes with rounded corners, and on my googling trail I have come across numerous "solutions" that involve extra DIVs containing rounded corner images; these having no semantic meaning whatsoever.
