No, I said QMAIL exists outside of apt.  Which remains true even if we
use an off-repo package from $some_random_guy_on_the_internet as you
propose.

And given that we don't simply run Qmail now, but an entire mail
ecosystem of which a heavily-patched qmail is just one piece, I reject
your premise.

It is absolutely not going to be as easy or easier to simply copy what
we have from one box to another.

Now is *exactly* the right time to consider whether we want to move
MTAs.  Before we spray DJB-poop all over /var on a pristine box,
specifically.  Ever tried removing qmail?  Ever tried *stopping*
qmail?  Including its watch processes?  In all these years I've never
managed it.
