Thank you all, but please tell me when I'm ready for Linux this stupid 
thing might actually work??

I simply can not even get the card installed in my old box -- keeps coming 
up with exclamation points now (but, it's better than the fat yellow 
question marks I had before).

So, freeback it is -- just dial in tonight, upload all the stuff I backed 
up and then download it in the morning.

This really stinks and it's hours and hours from Miller time :(
