It's about as amusing as watching Minnesotans convince newcomers that they
really *want* to try eating Lutefisk and Lefse. Mmm. Gelatinous fish slime &
flavorless potato tortillas with butter & sugar. And of course, they've just
told you the saga of how grandma lives up north and pre-orders holiday lefse
from the only authentic lefse maker in the state and then drives 6 hours in
the blizzard with no heat to deliver it, so you can't very well spit it out
and ask for something slightly less disgusting. Oh no, you have to nod and
make appreciative noises (and then convince them that no, you're really too
full for seconds).
