OK, as a native born Southerner from South Carolina (don't get much more
Southern than that), I must help out here.  Y'all (not ya'll as some would
have it) is a contraction of "you all".  It is to distinguish between "you"
(singular) and "you" (plural).  Works great on e-mail to clarify whether
taking to "you" or "y'all".  Of course, some would make it sound
"countrified" by pronoucing it "yawwwwwwwwl", but the more correct form is a
a simply "yawl".
