I know this is totally useless information, but I just had to tell you.

It's 3.30 in the morning here in Iceland and it's bright as day outside.

at 10.30 last night when my daughter was going to bed it was also bright,
it got a bit darker for the period between 11 and 2.30 but is brightening
up again.

and all this of course means:

the summer is finally here.

not that it would be fair for me to complain about the winter, since it
hardly even snowed here this year.
