Again with the spare linux box, configure SMTP & POP3/IMAP to use
the local server, which then goes out and talks to the internet using
Fetchmail or some such.

FWIW, NAV hooks into Eudora, and redirects its POP to localhost,
where NAV intercepts and checks everything coming in before it
gets to Eudora.
