there was one cop in the vehicle. there were 4 protestors around it. he was
cornered.

the cop was aiming the gun at the protestors yelling at them to move away.

the vehicle was cornered in an alley of some sort. the only way out was to
retreat. it was unfortunate that the guy got run over. i don't think that it
was an intentional act.

if protestors have a cop cornered and fearful for his life, and he makes it
clear that he has a gun, and asks them to back off - you fucking back off!
or it is very clear that you risk getting shot.
